Frequently Asked Questions

The program is designed for drawing knitting charts using colored cells, symbols, and lines. Finished designs can be exported as .png images or PDF files.
You can also save your work as a .json file, allowing you to continue editing it later.

Yes. This is a responsive web application. However, editing grids is significantly easier on larger screens.

No installation is required. The program runs in your browser.
Supported browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

No, an internet connection is required.
For offline use, we recommend the Nepi knitting chart software, available in the KANIVA store.

The free version includes all core features, but the grid size is limited to 15×15.
Monthly and yearly licenses unlock a digital knitting journal and post-it notes. With a yearly license, the monthly price is lower.

Availability:

We aim to provide uninterrupted service, but reserve the right to short maintenance and update breaks.
Planned maintenance will be announced on the website at least 24 hours in advance.

Support:

Email support is available on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00.
Our goal is to respond within 24 hours.

Maintenance and updates:

We perform regular development and security updates. Planned maintenance is announced in advance and scheduled during low-usage periods whenever possible.

Security and data protection:

Customer data is protected using modern technical and organizational measures.
All data is handled in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Compensation policy:

If service availability drops significantly during a month without prior notice of maintenance, the customer may request a refund of that month’s license fee, evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Limitations:

This SLA does not cover:

Issues with the customer’s own internet connection or devices

Outages caused by third-party services

Force majeure events (e.g. natural disasters, power outages, large-scale network failures)

If the program freezes or stops responding, refresh the page or press Ctrl + F5.

Yes. Your license remains valid until the end of the paid period.

Yes, but you must first cancel the monthly license before purchasing a yearly one.
Cancellation can be done in your dashboard, where you can also see how long your current license remains active.

You can be logged in on up to three devices simultaneously.
There is no limit on the total number of devices used over time.

If payment fails, access to the program will be suspended.
All your work remains yours.

All files (.json, .png, .pdf) are saved locally on your device or in your chosen cloud service.
For privacy reasons, we do not store your files on our servers.
You are responsible for backups. We recommend using a cloud service if you work on multiple devices.

Yes. The user is the sole owner of their content.

Yes. There are no restrictions on commercial use.
