We are not a software company. Yes, we do build websites and some small-scale software, but above all, our true passion lies in crafts and creativity.
How was KANIVA born?
KANIVA began in 2023 through the Riveria Young Entrepreneurs concept, when Janne – a multi-skilled professional from the field of information and communication technology – and Katja – a clothing artisan and passionate craftsperson – decided to combine their expertise. Our dream was to create a platform that would be more than a traditional online store: a place that brings craftspeople together and gives unique handmade products the visibility they deserve.
In October 2023, we proudly launched the KANIVA marketplace. It is aimed at craftspeople across the EU – anyone who wants to share their creations and reach new customers.
We believe that together we are stronger. That’s why we want to offer craftspeople a home where inspiration can be shared, like-minded creators can be found, and small businesses can grow.
KANIVA is more than a store to us – it is a community where stories meet and creativity thrives.
